good evening ,just acquired a couple of extra powerline adaptors to add to my BT vision box,tried adding the pair to the existing ones but no success,

Looks like a common problem when adding to exsisting set up

These came with BT Vision and work well. However, I'm glad I read the messages here because I had been planning to extend my network to a 'dead' room that wifi doesn't manage to reach but if, as people say, it doesn't work then it's a lot of money down the drain.

Can't speak for these but do use these

dead simple to setup as the handshaking is internal to the devices each end

can you expand on how you have tried to set them up, as you are inside the Firewall I would not expect that to be an issue

For the Devolo one plugs in next to the ADSL router and via eithernet cable in to one of the free ports, there is software but not really needed with only a pair on the mains

Just an update, had 2 pairs that were paired together, after a lot of effort I managed to "unpair" all of them and now none of them works. definitely a pants product.
