The Mrs and boy have the same problem with theirs. Drinks batteries headbang you recon rs batteries are better than he likes of Duracell etc?

Is the obvious solution not rechargeable batteries? Ones with a decent rating?

There's no jack for an external power supply?

(p.s. if it takes 2 AA/AAA batteries it has to be 3V ;) )

That looks like my Samsung !!!

I use rechargeables on all of my cameras (Canon SLR, Samsung "mini" and Vivitar underwater).

Much better, IMO - though make sure the rechargeables you get are at least 2000mAH - preferably more.

n.b. It is prob. also worth saying the batteries go flat faster in the cold weather.

I think you could safely say that looks like the bottom of most digital cameras.

Mine says 3V 2A so 2-3A would be about right I would imagine for most compact digital cameras. I've always used Ni-Mh batteries in mine, there's some GP 2700mAh ones in mine and they don;t last all that long TBH, but then I don;t take many pictures. I wouldn;t use non-rechargeables though s we've never had a camera that doesn;t eat batteries.

As for the adapter, http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=37379&C=SO&U=strat15

Butcher the 2 AAA-AA adapters to get power up them and Bob's your Uncle, erm, bob.

thanks guys :D il have a butcher about  i dont mind it not looking prety, the important thing it that it works :D
