I need to add an extra CU to an install with no mebs,

Supply is in garage, new cu going here, existing cu here already,

garage is about 8m from house, yard concreted,!

1960s/early 70s install so I dont want to touch it at all.

any ideas?

Yep, all 3 of them!

cooker, sockets and lights!

This is why Im going to Henley the tails and add a cu, so Im not touching anything of the original install whatsoever.

Nope, well one, ring ring, "hello", "is that Mr. Mole"...!

No hang on, the head & meter are in the garage?

If so you could argue that you are only working on the garage and not on the house, thus no changes to the house, thus no changes to that DB, thus no requirement to bond?

Tenuous I know!

interesting point of view,

and,,,,,

I am only installing a solar PV on the garage roof,

I suppose I could add a socket in the garage on the cu Im installing and call it a

"separate installation" :D

Just searched for it so I could give you a link and it looks like that question has been deleted!!

Ahh, now the truth comes out!Hmmm...

That could be a plan, but I'm not sure I agree with the definition... ;)
nor me,

but, some people would,

and,

as its only in the garage, surely I could put it down as "comments on existing installation" ...?

the house, after all, is in this case the remote installation, is it not.,?

there are NO extraneous parts in the garage, so, I suppose, if I really wanted, I could TT it.? ;)

but Im more and more of the opinion, leave as is and simply put the comments down,,,,,

PC,,,?

Ah, I see that I have been beaten to the post while searching!

the more I look through the regs the more I can find nothing to state I need to bond something that doesnt exist,,,,

IYKWIM

I think that if I dont touch the existing cu at all and use a new 2 way cu then I can blame it all on SW if its wrong ;)
