kaspersky is way better than anything mr gates will offer you,

for the simple fact its microsofts rubbishness that allows so many viruses to get about.

Avast or AVG do a good job too in terms of free products, but I'd agree Kaspersky is a better all-round product and worth the

For what it's worth I abondoned AVG cos it was really annoying, really slow updating which locked up my PC for far too long, and uses all the ram when it goes into auto scan. Have ditched in favour of lavasoft adaware plus package, which stops pop-ups, root-kits and viruses. Just lets PC run whilst its doing its stuff, and always did pick up more viruses than AVG.
