Hi all, just a brief note to introduce myself. I’m a semi-retired oil and gas industry instrumentation technician. I did a 4 year apprenticeship with ICI and then worked for several oil+gas and instrumentation companies. I did the IEE regs 16th and 17th editions (not often used these and the last course was 2010). Also did the COMPEX electrical equipment installation and inspection in explosive atmospheres courses from 2002 up to 2017.
Currently looking into solar energy with a view to installing a small 2-3KW system for my utility room and workshop.
