It has to be lit first! There's no mention of it been lit. Why the candle first anyways?

I would have said - The stove -> Light the candle off of the stove -> and then the Modern Gas Cooker off of the Candle.



BUT - It's true, You aren't going to light them, if you don't light the match first.
