hmm time to upgrade my avatar then...Thought as a MEM RCBO it might work, will keep looking.

new enlightened diagram ...
What kind of terrier is that?

Your fan isolator is ok if you don't want an over-run. If you do you will need a perm live and a switched live to the fan.

Then you don't need a 3 pole isolator a 2 pole will do! (allows you to isolate Sw Live, Perm Live and Neutral with the 3 pole)

I have a Patterdale :D Lovely little beastie :)

it appears i owe someone a apology Blushing

it was your mbc/rcd combined unit you linked to.

So I aquired an Eaton MEM 6A RCBO (not cheap!) from a local Newey+Eyre which fitted perfectly into the CU, wired up all the JBs, isolator, fan and lights. Just need to finish wiring the switches and give it a test. Getting it checked on Fri. BCO at the same time probably.

Thanks for the help! :)

Looks lovely except for the T&E wrapped in blue insulating tape. What's that all about?

I'd be swapping that for a 'proper' joint.

:D

(did your puppy help?)

Thanks!

The nasty joints absolutley not mine - pictures fixed for avoidance of doubt! Actually they are part of the UFH which is to be decommisioned - though I did take a look under the nasty, goopy, sticky tape and they are decent looking crimps.

Puppy ran off with the plastic blanking plate from the CU, looked for it for bl**dy ages, before locating in his bed!

If it's crimped it's not so bad - heatshrink so much more 'professional' :D

Good when the puppy 'helps'! At least he hadn't eaten it.........

:D
