Hi,

Could anyone help me please? I am on the city & guilds 2391-20 design & verification course. Mad I know but I have a test paper (dummy) that I am working through and I need to make a block diagram of a discharge lighting circuit. I know that they have to have isolation via a firemans switch but don't know how the circuit is made up since I have never worked on one.

Any ideas anyone please?

The question is: show by means of a fully labelled block diagram, the sequence of equipment to supply external HV discharge lighting signs supplied from a 230v single phase TN-S system.

Basically its a 240v feed from Dist.Bd. to the Fireman's switch, DP, from there to the functional switch then to the transformers for the sign. Then high voltage from the trannys to the neon sign. Can't think of anything else in it.

Revjames has just done the 2391-200, wait until he comes online. :)

I've done it too!

Didn't have discharge in mine!

I would go with Deke unless you need to put a contactor instead of the functional switch for loading purposes.
