I've got a job interview next week as a maintenance electrician the advert says may involve some bms systems work e.g trend has anyone got any info or any web links that may help me out. Thanks.

If its BMS involving Trend then its not Building maintenance ist Building Management Services. Trend is the manufacture name of the control systems the buildings are using, others include Honeywell for instance.

Have a look for any websites that do building management solutions and you should find some usefull info.

as gh says trend is a manufacturer and its a trade name too

so if someone says a building is trend managed it may be a trend system or any other make.

basically centrally controlled system of HVAC and possibly electrical system

i.e lighting time controlled so a large office complex that closes at 5pm for example where workers may have left lights on in offices the trend can turn the off.
