Can a subby do the am2?

As title. I've heard because I'm a sub-contractor I can't do the am2. So according to the JIB I'm desting to be a trainee my whole career. Is there a way to become a JIB electrician if your a subby??

Become employed until you qualify.

AM2 takes three days. NVQ will take a bit longer depending on how quickly you get through it.

NVQ will take money off anyone, and anyone with qualifications can register with JIB. Sounds like a myth to me

No reason why you can't do AM2, as for the NVQ if you have adequate, qualified supervision on site (for work based recorder) no reason why you can't do that either but you'll need to sign up for it before the end of July to do the current 2356 NVQ3.
