As per the topic, I am looking for a recessed spot light with a 50mm cutout diameter, these are to replace some display lighting in glass fronted kitchen cabinets to replace the current indandescent fittings, want to try and avoid drilling the cabinet if i can

A quick google doesn't show up anything, suitable, anyone had to do similar?

Thanks lurch, the top one in your link seems suitable, as per many of them being both surface and recessed now I look closely I can see that being the case, but I can't acually see the spec for the hole cutout when not using the supplied pattress

(I think that was where I was failing at finding them, I was dismissing a load of potential options on a quick glance at the picture "thats a surface fitting, not what I'm after" without looking closer) [don't think surface fittings would look right]

Yeah they're sold as surface fittings but I have always used them flush as well, for the last 20 odd years now! They're not sold as flush fittings so the cutout is ignored but they will all probably be the same. Top link though as you say is specifically what you want, safest option I suppose as they aren't expensive compared to anywhere else. Probably find there are some on the shelf at your wholesalers too if that's easier.

I'd imagine they'd have to order them in as they are unsually small, I might be wrong though, this was one of those jobs for family that got mentioned to me on a saturday afternoon, so I thought I'd try and see if anything that small was reasonably common on the net first before I give them a wild goose chase tommorow :p
