You deserve a cigarette doing all that lot in one day.
I dont need one, im dont muck in on them now, i just check them and issue snag lists to the lads, they dont leave many snags though

The company i work for carries out 1 day rewires, normally 2 sparkies and 1 labourer, all chased in, capped up ready for plasterers to follow the next day.All chases done with chase machine and extractor, normally 2 lads chasing out while the lead electrician gets boards up and starts pulling cables in
Plasterers come in the following day? So when do they do the 2nd fix?

I used to do council house rewires (surface-3 bed) for the company I used to work for. 2 sparks. 4 days. Couldn't do it any quicker without been called back to sort out snags.

IMO nobody could do a proper, decent job rewiring a house, fully tested in one day. unoccupied maybe, but not occupied.

Inclined to agree there mate. If they succeeded I doubt it would be a very good job.

ive seen many of these '1 day rewires', by both council & mr electric.

never done properly.... the snag list is usually another days work. some of the re-wires are simply new DB & accessories. no bonding or earthing done in some cases.

worst 'rewire' ive seen was a new split load, with most circuits (inc all sockets) on non-RCD because of low IR tripping RCD. no rod, no main earths or anything. the odd accessory was changed, but still some broken left in place
