Got to run some power from a bungalow to garage, gonna have to run it on catenary. Bungalow is ok but the highest point on the garage is 2.8M.

The minimum height on the on-site guide is 3M.

I cannot cross the path as the fence is only 6 foot high and the path is that imprinted concrete stuff so cannot be dug up.

Do I make a note on the certificate as a departure from BS7671?

Thamks.

It all depends on if its an area you might cross.

I did one a while ago to a summer house and left it at about 7 or 8 foot ..... I did get a bracket fabricated to make it look level... BTW the cable was running parallel to the fence and only about 18" away from it

The bracket (which was galvanised) only cost me

Just do it Essex , private garden , don't invent problems , get on with it , you're suffering from Electricians Colic , the weight of 1000 regulations pressing down upon your head and the fear of The Electric Police watching your every move.
