Network sent me a free phone  , no idea why , I have a good deal with them so wouldn't  change anyway , so new 2 year contract on same terms .

Question :    Best way to transfer numbers and pics from one phone to the other .   Both are just basic Nokies  that just make phone calls .

Back later .

transferring stuff between phones is usually fairly simple if its the same make of phone,

nokia used to have a thing for your computer where you could plug your old phone in,

it saved everything

change your SIM card over

plug your new phone in

it moved everything to your new phone

or,

try taking it to your local o2 [or whatever shop] , try go on a mid week day when they are fairly quiet.

Most units come with sd cards these days, dump everything on the card, move contact list to sim........put sd & sim in new phone and transfer all items to where you want them.

Or

Visit a Vodafone outlet and ask them to complete a sim and data tx to new unit using the system they have that's called "redbox"

Got a new Z10 today..............not bad if you like BB

Canoe,

The  :Y  has obviously got to you as in the OP it was stated that it was a Nokia! ;)
iPhone, Nokia, Blackberry, It is debatable whether Deke would understand the difference between any of these anyway. I heard he was a computer guru, not a mobile phone guru.  We can hardly expect the Forum Spark Of The Year, to be expert in everything.

Its a Nokia Raspberry !

My mate now has a big phone that you stroke with your finger to make the screen work..............unless you get your hands dirty when working in our trade in which case the finger stroking doesn't work . And the battery only lasts a day.

I just put my Sim card in it ,  no names /phone numbers , no pics , display looks like a kiddie's toy phone .............I don't think I can be bovvered TBH , I could phart about transfering data for hours and I'd have a phone with some pics and a list of names /numbers.............which is what I have now.

I thought it was the proper name , based on being a low power handset  using the sytem of cells to pass the signal on . Otherwise we'd be frying our brains .

My old battered phone does the job , can't be ared to sit buggering about with them TNH.

being an old, basic nokia actually makes it far more time consuming and tricky to move contacts and pictures.

how basic are we talking? black and white screen? or does it actually have some advanced features like bluetooth or a camera?
