Citroen berlingo

My mate has a berlingo & it's fine on tick over but try to push the accelerator & the motor cough splutters & dies?

I'm thinking fuel starvation, but anybody got any other ideas?

Fuel filter comes to mind, failing that its down to fuel management system.

If the injectors are even slightly blocked this will have a dramatic effect on a deisel engine.

Another problem with deisel engines is the correct grade of oil used, some oils will turn to sludge, making the engine work much harder than needs.

A full service with a garage who understand deisel engines will probably sort out the problem.
