Hello all,

Looking to tap you qualified electricians and possible employers up on some info. What course would be more worthwhile to you? My nearest C&G college offer both the 2357 and a BTEC Extended Diploma (QCF) Electrical & Electronic Engineering. I know the 2357 is the new thing to go for to become a trained sparky, along with the 17th edition and the C&G inspection dooda. But cant find much on the BTEC qualification just know its 2 years. Any information you guys could throw my way would be greatly appreciated,

Mike

Edit: Will the BTEC just help get your foot in the door for the 2357 NVQ placements?

As far as I am aware Mike, the 2357 is a 3 year course.AndyGuinness
