Hi,

Any recommendations for coax for tv aerials. Was given some but there's not much shield and looks very cheap. What do you guys use and any links if possible.

Cheers

mine might have BSkyB on the drum, wholesalers have never heard of the manufacturer.

Same here TBH . The shield doesn't look like the older stuff but seems to work OK.

I know little about aerials, I fit them if asked , but always say I know nothing , if theres no picture get the aerial guy in .

So run the cable to a socket, fit mast in loft space and point it towards Sutton Coldfield...............amazingly it usually works.

I just direct mine at steptoes manor, the channels I pick up from the mass of rods makes my eyes water!!!

Thats why you only get football on all channels M4tty !!!

Some of the channels Stepps watches would make anybody's eyes water!!!!!

I always use pf100 been getting 250mtr rolls from electricfix. Probably over the top for internal stuff but on most jobs you are not going to use a reel so its a drop in the ocean.

I use Webro WF100, which uses a 1mm core with foam insulation, copper foil screen and then copper strand screen with either a Brown, Black or White PVC outer.

If cost allows the Webro cable is excellent they even do a twin cable with very low losses. Other than that I use RG6 for both Freeview and satellite installs.

The cheap 75ohm low loss with the thin braid is utter shite for digital and wasn't all that for analogue signals.
