Commonwealth Games

Birmingham is hosting the Commonwealth Games  2022   .

I'm all in favour of that  , much will take place  at the stadium  1 mile  away. 

What puzzles me and everyone else  is  they are contemplating  demolishing the flyover  and filling in the underpass just down the road  (A34)     :C

Now this thing 'aint pretty  but its functional  and carries about  1 million  vehicles per hour ...through what used to be a major bottleneck  . 

They were there this week  , surveying . 

If you close it , this happens ... not rocket science is it ?

Besides they won't be driving as such, gently hovering in space cars powered by unicorn farts I believe. 

Driving is for peasants don't you know!

More like who didn't clean the drainage out  methinks !   

The firm I did apprenticeship with laid the anti icing cables in the roadway ,  wonder if it still works ?    All the lights have disappeared I see.
