Down the road from me is the home of Birchfield Harriers . This arena will be a central part of the forthcoming Commonwealth Games . Birmingham Council has launched a campaign of madness in tarting up the area . A university is being demolished to make way for the Games Village .....A major flyover on the A34 carrying thousands of vehicles per second is to be demolished causing major traffic chaos ...because it doesn't look very nice . Costing millions .
And much used allotments adjacent to the stadium are to be turned into a car park . Many people enjoy this amenity , but more importantly it is the home of Robert the Cat .
The news today on the local social website is that Robert the Cat , assisted by some humans ,have defeated the council plan . I hope he will be tackling the flyover next .
