Connecting A Kitchen Hood

Is that true that with the 17 th edition hood need to be connected on separate cable 6mm cable in to the fusebox? or it can be connected to one of the switch/spare?

I just get refused of my connection to switch/spare.

connect on the cooker / hob circuit...

cu >> cooker switch >> hood fcu using same size cable as cooker >> fcu to hood using 2.5

Thanks guys, so that's means guy who certify my job made a mistake telling me about this separate cable to the cu>hood 6mm, strange!

What do you mean by that?

So someone (you?) has done some work, and you are getting someone else to "sign it off" but they refuse.

Tell us the full story and we might be able to help.

What do the instructions with the hood say????

probably 3A tops if we are talking bog standard domestic hood.
