Found a micro-disaster with the DC input connector of my Solar Rivers invertor melted yesterday. Clearly there must have been plenty of arcing and smoke, witnessed by the adjacent staining.
All is well again, courtesy CPC who are fortunately only 30 minutes drive away, but has anyone else experienced this sort of problem? This professionally installed system has run fine for three years.
To me these the pins of these 4mm connectors look unnecessarily small. It is a 3kw nominal system wired with 4mm cable. The circuit connectors where they enter the roof-space look larger, and without disturbing them I suspect are the 6mm versions.
