Ah, the disposable headlight. ;) A couple of weeks ago I was looking for a new "head light" and I saw that style, but what put me off was it has a rechargeable battery, knowing my luck, when I need it, the battery will be flat.
But I did find one that looks the same, and costs considerably less, take a look for yourself Click me I just never got one..............or 5

I used to have a wooly hat with led rechargeable lamp in. Still got the hat, can't find the led bit ☹️. I found it would hold charge for over a year. The best bit about it was it could be charged from a usb cigarette lighter adaptor in the van, so keeping it charged up wasn't a problem, and being a hat was great for protecting my bald head from nails and rafters working in lofts or under floorboards.

Not seen one, but it's being heavily promoted via social media, several slightly different supplier names, similar/different ad content, all having very limited remaining stock, etc.
My guess is they'll be cheaper in the new year.

Anyone seen, tried or got one of these head band lights ?

IMHO this is over engineering a problem that does NOT exist....

e.g. the advertising bumf says "With a wide range of 230degrees our headband will light up your surroundings.. blah blah blah..."

BUT.. as far as I know most humans don't actually have eyes that can see over a 230degree range.. ???

At best most people are looking forwards not even over a 180degree range?

But even an el-cheapo basic camping type head-torch will always light up where you are looking when you turn your head!!!

So.. Why have wasted energy producing light to illuminate areas that you cannot actually see???

Answers on a postcard to:-

"Why illuminate things you can't see,
PO Box 1234
Who gives a to55"

From my personal experience numerous cheaper camping head-torches from places like, Go-Outdoors, Millets, Blacks, Mountain Warehouse etc. etc.. etc.. Will do the job and leave you with more beer-money in your wallet!!!

Sorry, it was eBay nearly 2 years ago. I'm on Xmas hols and can't look at the make, and that one is no longer available. With hindsight it was far too cheap, about £5.
