between 350 and 450 depending on awkwardness and length/route of bonding etc, plus more for faults.wayne
A pivotal point with regard to the costing. Is it possible to give an accurate CU replacement cost without doing any sort of site survey first? I don't think you can. But would be interested to hear if any of our members give a CU replace price without first visiting site?

Doc H.

i give a quote but subject to testing which i alway do first. if they dont want work doing after, then the testing/survey ive done costs, (say

I will do a brief free site visit,

visual on MEBs etc to give a (hopefully) more accurate price,

but also on the caveat that any unsatisfactory circuits will be a no CU change and a nominal

With something like a CU change I never give a QUOTE I always give an ESTIMATE

And I always look at the job first to get a feel for what nasty problems may be lurking somewhere.

I dont always bother with a visit to discuss prices

if someone phones and asks how much for a cu change the i would ask questions and give them an estimate

if when asked they are getting other quotes i just say if they want me to do the job then i will do a proper survey,,,

otherwise i just roll over and go back to sleep.
