I am soon to put some coving up but none of the corners have 90' corners so pre cutting nice 45' joints isnt going to work, any advice on how to get the correct angles would be appreciated

get a plasterer in who does coving

i cut an off cut about a foot long then push into each side of corner and mark top and bottom, this will give you both points to mark on the cut.

i use cove adhesive to bond it up. mark the bottom line and tack small nails to hold the cove in place, hold sections up before applying gloop to make sure cuts and corners are good to go. bonds quick so just nail a few on the top to hold it there. after a few lenghts it will be a doodle.

ggod luck..

sorry apple, I dont understand the first sentence

yes hard to discribe. place off cut into corner then draw line top and bottom. then the other side top and bottom, take away off cut and you will see two lines top and bottom which meet in the corner, this gives you the marking points. hold new lenght up and mark top and bottom "left side" then hold up right side and mark the top and bottom.

cut both marks down and this will give you a perfect corner, no matter what angle the walls are.

hope this helps,

Most places who sell coving sell a cutting template it's shaped to suit the coving, you offer it up then cut it against the template, use coving adhesive and support it in place with some nails driven into the wall at the bottom, where you have any gaps just fill in with the adhesive and scrape off excess and sponge smooth, you may even find a video on YouTube to show hyou how.

Regards, Mike.
