I guess we should all be grateful when the phone rings, however I get a call from a potential client who for the sake of clarity has a very thick sub-Saharan accent, asking for a wired fire system part 6 grade D cat LD3 in a HMO, ok not something a have much experience in, but being helpful agree to have a look, however they can't be there but one of the students will let me in :|

On site can see the will need 3x smokes and 1x Heat and possibly a sounder in each bedroom, also access is limited due to students occupying house

On the way to another job, the woman calls me, I explain that I need full access which will likely mean lifting carpets and floorboards which might be easier when the students break for the summer, "can't you do this by this Friday then?", why have the council served notice on you I ask, "Yes", so when was that then?, "120 days back in February!", I'm now thinking why has it taken so long, the woman then tells me that they would like to discuss on site but will need to catch a train from London down to Kingston to meet me ?:|

I have a gut feeling about this customer, so not inclined to quote, and why have they waited until the last week to sort this?, aside that I'm starting a referb next week so don't need a hassle job

Anyone fancy this one next door to Kingston Upon Thames Uni? ; \

BTW short of buying the BS 5839 regs book, anyone know if the above request LD3 is more detailed than my assumption based on the OSG?
