many things come with plugs with 3 or 5 amp fuses in, the rating of the socket is irrelvent to that, it's just a convienient means of connecting things.
I would expect the full current rating to be available to me thats the difference. 13AMPS

do you want the the MCB rating to exceed the max total of 13a x however many sockets too, just so they can all be used at the same time?
Now your being silly, my radial/radials power circuits are designed for general purpose whether it be 16 or 20A they are not unlimited sockets that is just ridiculous, it goes back to craft principles again.!
Not much chance on a 1.5 t&e backed with a 6A breaker if you are happy to create such a circuit crack on. ( your call back rate will be sky high)
And yes Im all for the 32A RFC the best designed power circuit the UK has produced, its only the inexperienced that dont have a clue how to fault find them. I like the flexibility of them.

I think we have exhausted this debate

would you expect a double socket on a 16A radial to automatically have 20A available? Its not a 13A socket, it's a 13A maximum socket, just like you can't pull 32A through a socket on a ring main.

for what the op is trying to achieve, you would possibly ruin decor, drill new holes in walls, and cost a small fortune just because you don't like something - to me that is unacceptable for the customer, but that's the way I like to work.
