Don't know if anyone saw this last night, but the installers put the inverter in the back of a wardrobe :^O .

Now it was a large wardrobe, and only a 6/7 panel system, and they did cut out the back of the wardrobe to fit the inverter direct to the wall, but one couldn't help thinking that by the time said wardrobe is full of clothes it will make a very nice airing cupboard.

I only caught the end of the programme. :(

Well there you go, more free energy to keep the clothes warm:slap

and burn the house down!

wonder if manufacturers instructions were adhered to?

any inverters Ive ever fitted strictly prohibit them being mounted on flammable surfaces, or within a certain proximity.

45.42 minutes in.

Such a tragic story they have gone through, and a worthwhile cause that they have done.

fair play to the DIY SOS lads they get stuck in and sort the build with no bull, unlike cowboy builders with the constant bs oh no the world is ending were out of money lets go beg pattern.

I watched it and thought the DIY lads done a good job. I really felt for that little girl losing her mother and her dad being ill too. nice to see a smile on her face and hope she enjoys her new home. As for PV I don't install it so can't comment but guessing from what the others have said on this post that it was none too clever. I liked the copper work on the exterior of the house, just hope it stays put.

Stone-walling looked realy good as did so many other things, just highly dissappointing that some PV outfit, no doubt after free publicity, should do something so daft or maybe they just don't understand??? Can't imagine putting inverter in upstairs bedroom anyway, but what we don't see is the chaos that must go on behind the scenes
