Domestic Window Extraction Fan.

OK,

You know how much I LOVE domestic works.

Especially when it's my own home.

We have an extractor fan in the kitchen window.

DG sealed unit.

It has not broken down with the vibration yet either! opcorn

Now the fan is coming to the end of its days, it must be 20 yr old.

I have looked around, and none "seem" to be suitable for the application.

Are they still available?

The existing unit is a Vent-A-Matic 6" dia.

Can't find the same model now on't internet!

Any suggestions, would like to keep powered fan.

i have used 1 by "Manrose" a year or so ago it was a 6 inch model.

i got it from Walsall wholesalers

they are available, fitted one a few month back. was supplied by customer, so dont know where they got it from.

All the ones ive fitted have just been normal fans with a window kit as a extra kit bought separately.

I was just going to say that you normally have to get the window kit as a separate,,, but lo and behold........

If you got one through a wholesaler you'd probably have to order it

We fit them all the time SW, vent axia with a window kit, adjustable for.different thickness windows.

I will look into it, VA sounds a plan as I like them.

I cant do links on my phone, but VA1060 is the one I do most of. I think thats the number anyway, has inbuilt shutters,

I might even have one in the garage.

I do them on my own,

just a pain in the rear if its upstairs window and need the ladders,

rubber band and some trunking lid,
