whats with some ebay sellers demanding immediate payment for buy it now?
i want 2 items from seller. both

eBay do not set payment t&c's. The seller is free to set his own within the listing. So, by winning / BINing you agree to any t&c's the seller may wish to set.It is actually against eBay rules to demand payment within 24, 36 or 48 hours etc. Is it really? can you link us to the t&c that states this? The only time they can have immediate payment is when they select the option within Paypal, and you are informed of this when you click the buy it now. (and have the option not to continue with the transaction).
Other than that eBay allow 7 days; in which, to pay. not so. eBay stipulate a minimum period of 7 days before which a payment dispute can be opened by the seller. Subtly different thing
I ALWAYS pay straight away when I win or use the buy it now on an item. Now, you're the kind of buyer i like. I do the same too when I'm buying
And I stay clear of sellers that demand payment with X amount of hours. Guess you'll never be buying anything from me then? Why would you do this if you're going to pay str8 away anyway? Cutting your own face.....IYAM So too, when I see a listing where the seller states that s/he is not responsible for the item after they have posted it. WRONG! They are responsible until you receive it. If the courior or Royal mail lose it, the seller is to refund you and then claim off of that company that s/he used to post your item. True. The buyer should always understand their rights in this situation. personally I usually ask for signed for service.
If they don't, open a Paypal dispute and esculate it to a claim straight away. Don't mess about or waste your time e-mailing back and forth, if they refuse to refund you.
If you paid any other way, then you may have a problem.
Some of the sellers, even say that you have to claim directly from the company that they used to post your item, this too, is wrong. They are the only ones that can claim, because they are the one with the contract of postage.
completely irrelevant and nothing to do with ebay buyers not payin (for something they have not received, unlike your example)You don't walk out of Tescos with a trolley of shopping and anounce you be back next week to pay for it, do you????
Reading the T&C on ebay it looks like buyers have a minimum of 8 days to pay. You can open a unpaid item claim 4 days after the listing ended and then close that no sooner than 4 days (assuming they don't pay).eBay do not set payment t&c's. The seller is free to set his own within the listing. So, by winning / BINing you agree to any t&c's the seller may wish to set.I request payment within 24hrs. if it is not forthcoming I give a SCO to the next highest bidder or relist. If the item sells before the original buyer pays, then the original buyer will get a non payer strike. i've been ****ed about too often to go soft on buyers. You don't walk out of Tescos with a trolley of shopping and anounce you be back next week to pay for it, do you????
