Psychiatric ward??
The tory lot tried to run a disgusting campaign. In the last few days, the papers, the daily mail in particular, had entire pages, [front and about the next four] devoted to rubbish like "corbyn friend of the terrorists" All he has ever tried to do was to negotiate peace.

All the tories have done in the last week is to try to make political capital out of the murders of the people in london and manchester. Absolutely disgusting.

Well tory halfwit tossers, pride comes before a fall eh?? Bye bye theresa may!!! Has there ever been a more short lived prime minister?? ha ha ha

john...

'strong and stable' :slap

How can anyone call a vote and not show up to TV debates, only appear in front of pre-arranged crowds / non-existent crowds, and then claim to be a strong negotiator. I've never seen such a pathetic abdication of responsibility.

I see this morning the knives are put already.....

will be also interesting to see if some of the Blair crowd return?

Labour may have to stand with Corbyn, instead of against him. Will be fun to watch.

cheers, Paul

Cannot understand all the labour Tomatoes that are [were??] against corbyn.. He has revitalised not only his own party but politics in general.

Got to laugh at the big headed tories and all the rubbish they printed in the papers they own. Where is your "landslide" now then?? Strong and stable eh?? looks like.. Seems like they will team up with the DUP now, Ian Paisley's rabble. Who is consorting with terrorists now then?? Will be the second time the tory lot have tried prop their crappy party up with coalitions. Imagine if the Labour party teamed up with Sinn fein, what would they have to say about that???

john..

So Jeremy thinks he can form a minority government........ That won't be strong and stable either.

The immediate future of the UK concerns me a great deal

The immediate future will be dominated by the Brexit negotiations. Government will carry on as usual and we will get back to enjoying Summer (is that possible?).

cheers, Paul

Flaming June. 12 degrees, overcast, windy and drizzle. Yes I am enjoying "summer"

Wind & drizzle  what nonsense is this ?     This afternoon I sat on a bench in Lichfield Market with a beer , basking in sunshine with just the lightest of breezes,    listening to a really talented busker , reminiscent of Donovan if anyone is ancient enought to remember , pretty girls walking past in summer dresses , whats not to like ?

How many times did you get asked to move on, or didnt you have a blanket and flat cap in front of you?

Stronger than any other leader in Europe. Labour membership is up by (correct the figures if your bored enough to look) about 450,000 under Corbyn. No other leader has a mandate like that, despite what the Tory press say. Shame the old Tory Blair supports didn't back him, he probably would have won.

As for the new coalition, the DUP control power, @Steps what's your family like? Please don't  tell me you're a moderate by their standards :slap

your in firkin Scotland, why do you think so many Jocks live elsewhere :slap

Thats what I firkin thought ,  I get more votes than you so more people voted for me than you so I form the government .

Someone was just on about Corbyn forming a minority government ...................isn't that like beating Germany 4 - nil  in the World Cup and Germany wins the cup because they didn't get as many goals as England.

Its love me Brexit I suppose,

They only got 52% of the vote, so that's not a majority either, as it wasn't what labour or the tree hugging dole mole arsehole terrorist non British contingent loving Tomatoes wanted, so it doesn't count,

Maybe Sturgeon should form the gov and make everyone independent from everyone else, would that make her happy d'ya think,,,?

Actually,

Along those lines,.maybe Corbyns mate Gerry should be PM,

Then we could all be part of a united Ireland, how's that sound,?

Would sort out the issue of norn iron in one go,   :)

OK, I'm obviously fkn stupid, but the Tories got more votes than anyone else, how is that not a majority,?

@binky

I've mellowed a lot in my old age,,,,,,

to have an absolute majority you need more than half the seats in parliament. If you haven't got control you basically are very unlikely to be able to vote any legislation through 'cos the rest of the children will gang up to block everything. KInd of what happened to Obama. TM failed to get a majority, so now needs the DUP to get her 'over the line' with a working majority of 3 MPs. In theory Corbyn could have achieved this with everybody else, but as Sinn Fein won't swear allegiance to the Queen, it remains a theory only. It's an odd situation that usually results in a another election within a short space of time. As for TMs control of the Conservatives, I can't see that lasting long.

@steptoe  serious question, what are the DUP like? Clealry staunchly British, very Orange, and from what I can see very conservative / old fashioned in their views. Would I be correct in thinking these guys are the legal face of the likes of the UDF / UVF?

Gerry for PM.. Well, it "could" result in a united ireland, but do not think it would be very popular with the "other half" What about if they had a coalition with the DUP and Sinn Fein as well, just to make it fair?? I know Gerry will not go in the house of commons as he does not like the queen, but he could follow proceedings by loudspeaker, and his words could be spoken by an actor.. [like they used to be!!]

Tell you what though, perhaps gerry and his mates, and some of the chaps from the DUP too, perhaps they could set up a joint force, that could go around and "dissuade" certain individuals in this country that like to attack people with cars and knives??
