Hello I have been asked to replace a 3 phase meter they have bought there own but I can't seem to figure out how to wire it? This may seen weird, I thought it was just in and out l1, l2, l3 and n in and the same out! This metre has 11terminals and is number 1 to 11 with extra on the side? It has positive energy taffif 1 and negative taffif 2?? I'm lost??

I'm assuming this ISN'T the DNO meter and is on the customer side of the supply.

1 - is it designed to be run off CTs?

2 - 3 phase in and out plus neutral in out leaves only 3 terminals.... if in doubt look in the literature that came with it or check the internet

3 - if in doubt with your competency level get help

No it's not that there wasn't a diagram to it! And it leaves 4 terminals not 3 so should be a total of 8

Yes I am aware that it usually were the diagram is but nothing there all the other 3 phase meters I have seen has 8 terminals

Nozspark after ur OMG comment do u have any ideas about wat the number mean and why there are more than 11. Terminals? Or do u still think I'm stupid

Without seeing the meter in question I haven't a clue mate,, like you say you only need 8 terminals. There should reeally be a wiring diagram with the meter or the terminals should be marked or it should be obvious as to which terminals you should connect to.

TBH I initially thought that you were on about replacing the suppliers metering equipment, hence the OMG.. Other comments by yourself both snuck in before my reply and after show that you are actually on about private metering.

But,,, you will be using 8 terminals and have 3 spare terminals,,, what do you think they might be for?

Have no clue there are even 4 other small terminal next to the 11! I thought maybe a pv meter as it had different options on what kwh u can choose and taffif ??

Alot of ppl come on here to ask question and may feel humiliated when they get a response of omg lol I didn't take it to hart because I know what I'm doing with canging a personal metre!

Have you got the CT's to slide over the cables L1 L2 L3?

Look at page 8 from the link

Aux's are for ancillary equipment that may be added later.
