Found this site:

http://www.flightradar24.com/

I didn`t know all that info was in the public domain, tbh.........

You can click on any plane, anywhere in the world, to see its flightpath, heading, altitude, callsign etc.

PLUS.....after clicking a `plane, if you press "3D" underneath the planes descriptor on the right hand side........it`ll load up a view from the cockpit of that plane!!!!!

( be careful - its really addictive ;) )

it only works on toy computers seemingly,  :(

had a customer who was a plane spotter, software would go 'ping' he'd get his binoculars out and 'spot' the plane. Takes all sorts I suppose, but as we are under many flight paths to the USA down here in Devon, I have to say I have wondered where the metal bird in sky is off too. It's a bit like standing on motorway bridge watching traffic and wondering where all those people are going.....I hasten to add this is not a hobby of mine :slap

No coz most of the ones by me have just taken off from Liverpool airport, dreading next year when the Open comes back to Hoylake as there will be a constant flight of helicopters going overhead from the airport to Hoylake starting at 5:30 in the morning.

Just had a big bat fly over the patio chasing cockchafers! I'm sure it's a Greater Horseshoe but they're not supposed to be here in Kent..............loads of the Pipistrelles but this big one is like a cat with wings and NOT A SOUND!

Stuck dead lesser horseshoe ones in the freezer a few times and sent to MAFF! If one of these others comes down its BIGGER FREEZER time!

Its quiet tonight... one going over now heading for Singapore.

My neighbour has some small bats nesting in his loft took me year to convince Mrs that they were bats :yawn never really seen them in London, too many loft conversions.

i had an apache overhead today following the A14 to Chelveston
I can sit in my parents garden & watch the Apache copters, some times they come through the wood at low level next door raise so their dome is above the trees, we think they paint the cars on the A303 with lasers for practice.

FFS guys,

make a man jealous y dont you,

we have sparks with superyachts,

and now a frickin vet with his own fleet of helicopters.!

:shakehead

i give up, I really do.........

This is all very good but I'm waiting for a 'customer' app'..... You walk upto them and take a photo, then the app tells you if they A) have the money for the work they are planning B) have any intention of paying you at any point in the next lifetime C) have weasily scruples D) are a complete c0ck and E) a total psychopath who will ring you constantly because he can't make his mind up or is just a needy barstewart in general ....... Feel free to add f,g etc

I regularly have the South Yorkshire Police helicopter over Me :innocent . When I was visiting family in NW Swindon, I heard an almighty noise of a Military Hercules landing at RAF Wooten Basset (where the soldiers are repatriated coming home from Afghanistan). Sometimes I wonder just how the likes of an Airbus A380 actually stays in the air.
