Hi,

I installed a outside light run from an FCU spurred off the ring and was doing some tests trying to get used to new tester (MFT1552)

1) When doing loop tests at fcu does everything have to be unplugged/turned off on the ring as i done the test with the tv on. Thats not a problem is it??

2) On a cert the highest of the PSCC and PEFC goes on it right?? I set the tester to PFC. I put green lead to cpc, red to line and black to neutral and it gave 530A . Which result is that PSCC or PEFC and how do i do the other test, where do i put the leads??

Thanks in advance

1: you dont have to turn everything off, but it can be a good idea

2: PFC is highest between L-N & L-E (or L-L in 3 phase)

with the 1552 you only need green & red probe to do PFC (unless your testing after an RCD). what you would have tested was PEFc (L-E). to do L-N, its same, but put green probe on neutral
