Feed from isolator?

just a quick one again sorry..

iv been asked by family if they can take the feed from an extractor fan isolator switch for an outside light..

to look somthig like this..

i wasnt sure if this was allowed so just thought id check

You can extend a circuit almost from any point in that circuit.

I personally would mark the cables to show it feeds the light and do the required testing etc. Making sure the circiut was RCD protected.

It is a safe way to connect to a circuit because you have access for maintenance and if need be repair. Although not required for extra safety you could use a switched fused spur as the outside light switch so have a built in isolator for that circuit.

hi thanks for a quick reply am going from the isolator because its the easiest acces point for installtion save having upstairs boards up ect..
