I need to find a CU for a job that I'll be doing it'll need to be quite a big one and is very probably non standard.....

The supply will be TT'd as it's a sub main from a TNCS

The building is a Granny Annex - living room, bedroom & en-suite and will be heated by fan assisted NSH's - hot water is a combination of solar panels and immersion heater - cooking will be a plug in 2 ring hob and microwave.

The supply is a single supply (no E7) however it is E7 at the house! they want to keep an existing SWA sub main (which is suitable)

Initially I was thinking of having a CU for the Daytime circuits & daytime supply to NSH's, a timer module and contactor in a separate enclosure supplying the E7 CU and circuits...

But it'll look a mess

So my newest idea is a double banked CU with the circuits as follows

Bank 1

MAIN SWITCH

RCBO - timer supply

RCD A

Bed & living skts

O/S lights

RCD B

Kitchenette skts

Immersion (horstmann timer)

Lights

Bank 2

RCD C

NSH 1 day tariff

NSH 2 day tariff

NSH 3 day tariff

TIMER MODULE

CONTACTOR 40A

RCD D

NSH 1 E7 tariff

NSH 2 E7 tariff

NSH 3 E7 tariff

Now that gives Bank 1 as 12 ways and bank 2 as 14 ways (not including any spares) - timer tales 1 way and contactor takes 3 ways

So I'm really looking at getting a double bank CU with 16 ways...

Does anyone know of any???

Seem to think any stacked boards I've used in the past have been all MK. Multiple row boards are quite European so you might have some joy looking towards Hager, and Legrand if you're into that sort of thing, maybe MG?.

MK looks like the way to go...

Just had a look at the Sentry pdf and it looks like they have everything I would need!

Will give their tech helpline a ring in the morning and get them to build me a parts list!

I fitted a pair of stacked MK boards on this job here...

This job has 2 x 16way boards as follows:-

Top board

Main switch (incoming tails & isolates both boards) {occupying 2-ways}

2 x RCBO

1 x MCB

1 x RCD#1 {occupying 2-ways}

5 x MCB (protected by RCD#1)

2 x blank spaces

1 x Contactor

1 x Doorbell transformer.

Bottom board

1 x RCD#2 {occupying 2-ways}

5 x MCB (protected by RCD#2)

1 x RCD#3 {occupying 2-ways}

5 x MCB (protected by RCD#3)

2 x blank spaces (which will have a two module timer fitted in it soon!)

They look neat enough when closed for Domestic IMHO..

I have used the MK stacking kits a few times.. no problems.

ElectricFix sell the 12 & 16 module CU's stacking gear.
