Folks,

I need to source an IP rated foot operated switch/switch pad capable of swicthing aro 200w // 230vac.

The switch is to be inobtrusively mounted on a garden sleeper step to bring up a number of low-power courtesy led lamps.

Can't seem to find anything other than descrete foot switches that require deliberate operation.

Cheers,

JimG.

Thx AndyC - seems like a lot of wind-power there??
yes, lots of wind power

the setup is very reliable if done correctly, have used something similar with push buttons for in-shower controls, no chance of shock, doesnt matter if it gets wet and electrics is elsewhere

Must admit I wouldn't have thought of this but a great idea!

I have seen setups using heavy duty (Honeywell) limit switches on hinged platforms but a pneumatic switch would be far better.

Perhaps you could get some inspiration from the RS Components catalogue?

They sell all sorts of instrumenation stuff which you could probably use.
