Hi.

I want to put three light fittings inside our three wardrobes (one in each).

I am going to put a switched fused spur fed by a single 2.5mm cable coming from a double socket in the bedroom which is a ring main.

I was going to feed each light fitting with 1mm cable.

My question is, can I run a separate 1mm twin earth cable to each fitting, therefore at the fused spur there will be

one 2.5mm feed in and three x 1mm twin earth cables coming out?

Or do I have to come out with one 1mm cable to the first light then loop to the second and on to the third?

There isn't going to be much room for two cables at each fitting

Thanks in advance for any help.

If it is tricky to terminate multiple cables at one light fitting then as you say it would be daft to try and loop at the lights..

you could do your 3x 1.0mm into the fused spur..

BUT

personally I would try and do Binkys option with a junction box located somewhere suitable....

with some Wago connectors..

This would make it easier to ensure all your wires are secured at the joints.

welcome to the nut house!!
