if extending a circuit in the garden, does this come under major or minor, as i thought all external domestic work came under major works (part p) etc....

id class as minor work as long as no new curcits are bein added ie extra socket or lighting circuit in shed woould mean a full eic, but if only extending the main feed you could do a minor works,

it would to install an extra socket on a power post, and add some more lighting.

at the moment there is 2 swa feeds both for power.

i would need to install a switch on one feed located indoors for the garden lighting circuit...

Major Minor?

Part P applies not just to "Major" work, if by that you mean NOT work that would be certified by a Minor works certificate.

Any extension of a circuit to a socket or installation outside is notifiable.
