gas solenoid shut off

Got to wire 2 stops to a gas shut off solenoid. can these be powered off a local circuit? Or dedicated? Work is remedial after gas safety check, so no fire alarm link needed.

 
I would put them on the same circuit as the equipment that the gas is supplying is on. That way if the equipment suffers a fault and the CPD operates, then the gas is automatically cut off.

 
Do you think a locking stop button is enough? Or a contactor with a start button?

 
It depends what equipment the E stops are for.

For a boiler or furnace, I would use a contactor with start button.

For a kitchen, where the supply is for stoves I would suggest a locking button, that requires a key to be reset.
