Hi All,

How's everyone? I'm a dual trade qualified electrician/instro currently working as an instruments tech in Oz but things are about to change, I've married an English girl and a move to ole Blighty is on the cards.

Not sure how I will go finding instro work in the area we'll be living in (Oxfordshire) but I'll be definitely taking the required tests to become qualified over there and keep my options open.

Any tips, tricks and links greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Bring warm clothing, we celebrate Christmas in winter when it's cold. Water drains out of the sink a different way up here - so be prepared for that. Much less opportunities to have BBQ's!

Oxford could be worse, but up North much friendlier!

Beer? Guinness

G' Day Mate.

Welcome aboard. Good to have you here. :)

G'day back,

My only advice is summer's coming... so bring a raincoat!

Cheers lads!

I've already met the in-laws and spent a summer and winter there, both times the weather's been brilliant though the short days in winter will take some getting used to I reckon (the pub-life makes things a lot easier... Guinness )

Can't wait!
