I had one of those from B&Q,(similar anyway) 50quid, fairly quiet, but struggled even to run a 710w drill,

saw them in alsi at the weekend, and actually thought about getting another one,

but TBH even at that price Im not sure about the VFM.

I've got one from years ago when these fiorst started hitting the market. Not overly noisy but I would seriously consider the output as 'optimistic'. I only got it for running a couple of lights and chargers if required, decent stock of cordless drills you see.

those 800w gennys dont look like there capable of much

i have a 2kva honda genny, had a lot of abuse and still work fine. cheap one would probably be dead well before now
