Hello everyone this is my first post on here.

Just wondered if any seasoned spark could tell me around what year was green sleeving phased out and replaced with green/yellow?

Cheers,

Cadspark

OOOOoooh Blimey, about 1982 ish . Someone will know exactly.

I remember the NIC guy picking us up on still using green earth cable , we were using up stock but they were not happy about using it .

Hi

just checked my 14th edition (1970) and it said then in table B4

protective conductor - green or green and yellow....

i had 1971 in my head for the birth of green and yellow:O but anyhow both ran side by side till green was banned in 1976 with the final amendment of the 14th... :D

and... a big welcome to our new member:D

I have thrown away loads of the stuff, not to mention full drums of black and red cable.

As to the op when I do any pir and find green sleeving I always date the installation to mid 1970's (1975).

I started in 1976/1977 and remember using it, but was replaced almost at the same time.
