Just a quickee.

On the plans of a house im first fixing there is a heat detector to be installed in the kitchen.

Can this be installed on the same circuit as the 2 mains powered smoke alarms at the property is the traditional manner using 3 core cable interlinking them all?

Is there a maximum/minimum distance they should be from the cooker/appliances etc? Or does it vary from different manufacturers?

Ta very much.

Read the destructions re where it can be sited, but yes, I think you should be interconnectiong them so that when dozy trollop in the kitchen sets fire to the chip pan, sleeping teenagers get some warning by an alarm, going off outside their bedroom. Seems no sense in NOT interconnecting them to me.
