What power supply would i need to power a 2 meter strip of the following? Or any one recommend a better light to use for a light/tracing box

Model:5630 LED Strip Light
LED Chips: 5630 SMD
Length: 5Meter/Roll
Color Temperature: Pure/Natural White(6000-6500K)
Lumens Flux:1200-1320 Lumens/Meter
Input voltage: DC 12V
Power: 60W/5Meter
Working Current: 0.35-1.2A/Meter
Waterproof: Non-waterproof
View Angle: 120°
Working Temperature: -20° to 50°
Size:L500cm (5M) x W1.0cm x T0.25cm
Cut Out: Cut Every 3 Led
Long lifetime: More than 50,000Hours
Each 5630 needs a 12V 5A adapter to work with

The power is 60W per 5m therefore 12W /m

max current is given as 1.2A/m

Voltage is given as 12V from the power supply required.

So max watts per m perhaps 14W.

Therefore to power a 2m strip you would need a 12V, at least 28W (i.e. probably 30W), constant voltage power supply.

Thank you.. so 30w 2odd amps?

A 30W, 2.5A 12V LED driver would be the simplest choice as these are readily available for about £10.  Any 12V LED driver of higher wattage should also work.

If you are using it in a light box then you may find you have to check the dimensions of the driver to ensure it will fit and that there is enough ventilation space.
