Help snapped a SDS bit in the chuck

I`ve also been able to get `em out, in one of 3 ways, usually - none of which involves stripping the chuck down.

1. As suggested by Batty - pull sleeve back, and shake drill whilst holding chuck toward floor.

2. Gripping with fine nose pliers / tweezers, pulling sleeve back, and teasing stub out.

3. Rotary stop, pull sleeve back, point at floor, pull trigger - ALWAYS worked if the bit was stubborn.

(except for the 4" core bit that I knaffered my SDS chuck with - didn`t snap, just wouldn`t release )

I made a big mistake and "ASS-U-ME-D" that the other suggestions had already been tried!

I've got that problem with my old SDS and a chisel bit (SDS won't chisel any more)

It's going to get abused over the weekend
