whats the best type of mesh to stop herons getting to fish in a pond??

its not mesh you need its a wire 12" from the floor surrounding the pond, in a ring, heron like to walk into or to the edge of the pond and for some reason cant 'step' over obsticles!?!?

works for me, i've never had any problems with heron, :^O

but then i've never had a pond

My pond is covered with pig wire. It was put there to stop children falling in when they where young. My daughter is 17 and son is 14 and we have never had a problem with herons in the time it has been there.
