Having a gander through 543.7.1.103, lists the high integrity methods, (ii) a copper conductor of not less than 4mm ect ect, what it doesnt say is, is this 4mm in addition to the CPC or a minimum size for the CPC?

I was always bought up chucking 4mm rings of GY with these circuits.

Let me know if that doesnt make sense.

I believe the 4mm refers to the cpc itself not as an addition to the standard cpc :)

(ii) A single copper protective conductor having a cross-sectional area of not less than 4 mm2, complying with
the requirements of Regulations 543.2 and 543.3, the protective conductor being enclosed to provide
additional protection against mechanical damage, for example, within a flexible conduit

Just struck me as i thought the whole idea of this is a separate route back in case one fails.  I suppose i was looking for terms more like High integrity protective conductor and circuit protective conductor rather than just protective conductor.
