HIU - Sauter EcoLink 514 Unit flashing red. Connects Eaton Panel with Valves but no fix available?

Hi All,

I have this Sauter unit which is flashing red. The manual states that the device is not communicating with the AS.

I have checked the wiring and there aren't loose wires etc. I've not yet tried replacing the whole unit as I wondered whether there was a fix available before I did this. Does anyone have experience in these units or systems?

not familiar with those units, but I would look for a battery on the transmitter to the unit, or say, damaged aerial, assuming connection is wireless. You could of course try a complete shutdown to reboot it.

Its probably worth contacting Suater Technical helpline as its a specialist piece of kit.

Not familiar with this kit myself but found a product data sheet online which reading through it there is some limited troubleshooting regarding start up behaviour issues,
Have you checked the AS has / is powered up properly
Also all the RS485 configurations on the data sheet show 4 cores interconnected but your picture looks like you only have 3 connected at the Sauter unit
