Hi Chaps and chapettes,
I have two separate questions for you.
1. MK's grid switch labelled 'hob', is only rated at 20A, can this be used on a hob that has a power rating of 7.5KW. Applying diversity I think yes, but still the peak use will exceed 20A?
2. A customer of mine had a cooker tripping his RCD, he called someone out to repair it. He said 'Oh I know what this is', went in the consumer unit and tightened all the screws on the CPCs and apparantly this fixed the problem. Any idea how that is possible??
I thought he'd disconnected the cpc on the cooker circuit and lied to the customer, but i've been there since and the cpcs are all connected.
Thoughts on a postcard! :C
