Protection for socket is by adiabatic equation ergo no problem for cooker ignition (though why not fit cooker switch with socket)

As for sockets in lofts, I like to fit 5Amp socket and plug for aerial boosters - ergo no argument.

 
did a job this week where the main incomer fuse blew

EON isolated the cooker cct and i went and had a look

cooker hood caused the problem......

wired via a 3 amp fuse into the cooker outlet plate,,not a major problem but the muppet who wired it up crushed the cpc and neutral

guy switched the hood light on and pop

32amp mcb didnt move...

Probably one of those fake ones with no gubbings inside.

not seen one of those but have heard of them....

it did isolate ok though but just makes me think why it didnt trip

might go back and change it
